B2710 oil filter

I'm doing my 50 hour maintanence and I think the dealer gave me the wrong oil filter the number on the receipt is 70000-15241 while everything I can find in the discussions says I should be using 16271-32092. Have they changed the numbers? Also the filter they gave me is smaller than the one on mty tractor, which led to my initial concern. Of couse the dealer is closed.

70000-15241 is the part number for a B7500HSD engine oil filter. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

Thanks for the quick reply. I was afraid I had the wrong part. i guess the oil change will have to wait till next weekend.

My parts book shows a 16271-32092 for a B2710. But they do a LOT of crossing and number switching on the Kubota filters. You may have the right one yet. Perhaps someone else knows for sure.

The word here is that the original parts number is for the Japanese made filter, which is lots of dollars. They have filters made here in the USA and put a different number (or several numbers on them, perhaps for the different contract producers??). The US filters are less than half the cost of the Japanese filters.

When I did my 50 hour a few weeks ago I picked up three filters, a HST, a hydro and an oil filter. The oil filter and one of the others (I think the HST) were US made and about half the cost of the other one. The US filters were white, while the Japanese filter was Kubota grey. I'll look for my receipt and see if there is a number on it.

Hi,

16271-32092 was the number of the engine oil filter I got from my dealer for my B2910. It was made in the USA and white. It is on the tractor now, but I am pretty sure that number was also marked on the filter itself.
