Kubota 2910
I helped a buddy hook up a new front blower to a BX24 last weekend and I'm seriously considering purchasing a blower for my B2910. The hydraulic lift setup is sweet for the BX24, but for the life of me I cannot figure out the configuration of the lift mechanism for a B2910. The only reference that I found on the Kubota site is the fact that the blower is compatible with the LA402 loader.

Can someone shed some light as to the operation (lifting methodology) and configuration of a front mounted blower for a B2910/B7800?

I also heard a ballpark quote of $4,400. I don't know if that includes the hydraulic chute motor. Any thoughts as to the accuracy of the quote?

The mount on the snowblower for the B7800/B2910 is very similar to the one on the BX24, and may be interchangable. ( I know the BX snowblower can be used on a B7610) The quick hitch that goes on the tractor is different however. If you do a search on member Bialecki, you will find some very good pictures of the B7800/B2910 quick hitch. It is actually a subframe. The quote you heard was probably for the blower with a manual chute rotator...... yea, I know! I've heard that the setup can run about 5K. Lawnking has a new snowblower for sale, but it has the quick hitch for a B3030. You might want to get in touch with him, or check the classifieds here for that. It is brand new.

5k - that is steep!

I saw the subframe pictures posted by Bialecki - well it answered one question and presented another... nothing is ever simple... I have a mid mount mower lift installed. Will that have to be removed to mount the subframe for the blower....

However, at 5k I may have to reconsider my options.....

Mike, you should be able to do it in about ten minutes. All current Kubotas are easy to interchange implements with.

Here is a picture of my B7800 with the FEL and the sub frame for the snow plow or the front mounted snow blower (look close under the tractor for the black sub frame). The FEL must come off when using the plow or snow blower. You connect the hydraulics of the sub frame to the FEL valve. The cost with manual shute rotator, sub frame and snow blower will be in the $3,000 range. The hydraulic rotator is another $700 or so from when I last investigated earlier this winter. I could not justify the cost in Southern CT, so I use my Woods rear blade.

Is the sub-frame / quick hitch the same between the 7800 and the 3030 ?

No, the sub frame / quick hitch for the B7800 / B2910 is like Bialecki's the one for the B30 series is more like the one for the BX, and B7xxx series, though it is a little larger naturally. I have attached a picture of Killer_B's B7610 hitch. I expect that the one for the new B20 series will be like the BX /B7xxx, and is much easier to install.

Yes,the sub-frame fits either tractor. I'm sure the B2630 would be included as well. It seems that I recall the instruction manual also listing directions for installation on the B2910. $3000 sounds too cheap for the blower without hydraulic chute rotator. There's the sub-frame kit,PTO driveshaft kit, blower, blower reduction chain kit, chute kit-probably more like $4000,then$700 more for the rotator. Seems like my setup with rotator was about $4500 a year ago.

Ductape: is the breakout the price for a setup on a B2910/B7800, or another unit?

If the price is correct, it may be worth my while to contact the dealer and take a road trip!
