B2910 Hydraulics - Bleed??

I learned a lesson about my B7800 over the weekend. I had the mid-mount mower on it and had just lifted it after mowing. It raises and lowers off of the 3 point. I then drove over to the barn to put the FEL on the tractor to take out two dead bushes. I drove up to the loader, as usual. Bumped against the lower mount. Shut off the tractor. Attached the hydraulic lines. Restarted the tractor and went to use the hydraulics to push the loader into the top mount position and insert the pins. No go. The hydraulics would not move the loader. I thought the FEL valve was stuck. I wiggled the control into the other positions, tilt, etc. of course with each move allowing the brace across the hood to move ever closer to the hood. YIKES! I finally realized that I had left the 3 pt valve in the lift position, not in the neutral position. I placed it in the neutral position and the FEL worked perfectly. Anyone else experience this?

Yup, I had a similiar experience when I was making a 3pt attachment to hold a 2 inch hitch receiver so I could move around various trailers and such. I had put in a limiting strap to keep the trailer tough from lifting the 3pt arms and had the 3pt "straining" against the limiter strap. Couldn't hardly move the FEL.

Dave
