Might be too late for you, but I just got my tooth bar as well and the bolts are 3/4". I just happened to have access to a 3/4" drill bit so after drilling a 1/4" pilot hole, I had at it. Used plenty of cutting oil and went through one battery and most of another right quick on my cordless drill (About 10 minutes). The steel was quite soft and a hole saw is a lot less $ than a drill bit. I'm really looking forward to trying it out this weekend.
