B2910 Loader can\'t find

I purchased a B2910 2 years ago with a mower. At the time, I didn't need a loader. Now I have moved to a bigger place and would like a loader. I starting trying to find a loader last fall. The dealers are telling me there are no loaders out there and don't know when there will be. I would like a Kubota loader. Has anyone else run into a problem finding a loader.

I bought a new Kubota loader for my 2-year old B2910 last summer, and they were back-ordered at the time. Luckily, I didn't have to wait too long (about a month). The larger dealers seem to have better luck getting them than the smaller dealers.

Now that this year's tractor purchasing season is approaching its peak (or is already there), the B2910 loader may be hard to find again this year. I'm not sure why, though. In any case, you'll have to decide just how quickly that you want it. I'd recommend calling different dealers and compare pricing as well as availablilty.

LESSON LEARNED#1: I assume by "mower" that you mean a mid-mower. One problem I had with my 72" mid-mower is that after the FEL was installed the mower could no longer be pinned in the "UP" position. Luckily, the guy that I bought my B2910 from had the "adapters" that bolt onto the FEL frame to give the mid-mower a new place to pin to. These "adapters" come with the mid-mower, not the FEL assembly, so if you don't have them, you may have trouble later on. Even if you go with a 3rd party FEL, I think that you will still have the same problem.

LESSON LEARNED #2: When I purchased my FEL last summer, they had apparently changed the process by which dealers order the FELs, and with the change the FEL bucket had to be ordered separately. The FEL came in without the bucket, and I had to pay extra $$$ above the quoted installed price to get the FEL with bucket. Make sure that you specify which bucket that you want and that the quoted price includes the bucket.

Check with Woods. You can get them in purty 'Bota orange and they have a big larger lift capacity and a smaller price than a 'Bota loader.
