B2910 oil filter

I plan to change the oil and filter soon. My dealer is 30 miles away. Has anyone found a reliable filter replacement from NAPA or WIX for the engine oil? I saved the box label from my 50 hr dealer maintenance but the local O'reilly auto parts store couldn't cross reference it (BTW it's #16271 - 32092). Any advice would save me a 60 mi trip. But I don't want to cut any unneccessary corners either.

Don't have an answer to your question, but you may want
to just call the dealer, order the parts, and have them shipped directly to you.

I'm in kind of the same situation as you regarding the nearest dealer being far away and have ordered by phone.

From a shipping cost standpoint, the more supplies you order at one time, the better.

In my case, the original John Deere filters were cheaper than our NAPA/Wix account prices.

Many filters at the dealers are priced below NAPA's and other aftermarket companies. I know we also give 10% off on orders of 13 or more and go to 15 % on 20 or more filters. This puts us well below Napa Feet pricing and keeps our investments worth more.

The replacement options (e.g. Wix) discussed in this thread are worth pursuing. I have received 3 different filters from my dealer for my D905-engined B1700DT. The dealer says the filter part #s vary according to whether the filter stocked is Japanese or US OEM sourced. The filters vary greatly in physical size/capacity as well.

BTW - Does anyone know who the OEM for the US made filters is?

Thanks for the advice and the wix number. The auto parts strore concurs but points out that the catalog says it's "not a direct replacement". Wix is a good company, but is it worth the risk? Has anyone else used filters from this category?

Wix makes NAPA..., NAPA is Wix... Same product, different color

On the Wix filter drop the first number (5), the rest is the NAPA p/n.

You may find out the Kubota filter is just as inexpensive or cheaper... {Besides, it gives you an opportunity to talk "turkey" with your Kubota dealer and pickup a needed implement at the same time...}/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
