Y'know...when ya'd rather be doing 6-10 MPH on the tractor then scooting down the 'strada in your Porsche....you're getting old!!! LOL!!!!
I'd had a series of sports cars since coming back from Viet Nam. '68 Jag E-Type, Alfa's, Fiats (including a Fiat Dino while I was stationed in Italy...if that had been a spyder instead of a coupe, I'd of brought it back...) and a couple of Porsches. I was single up to 6 years ago...I could afford my toys.
Rarest beast was a '66 or '67 Alfa Romero 2600 Spring Zagato. I paid $1800 for it (good, but not outstanding condition)...shipped it back to the States...painted it ($200 paint job) and sold it for $3600. Made about a thou on it. Then I found out it was one of 105 built...worth about $12500 in 1976 (year I sold it).
