Which is the stronger tractor? Frame, axles, ect... I am leaning towards the geared trans. of the L3000 due to its better extreme cold weather durability. Thanks.
Alaska, try this link to Kubota.com, go to products/equipment and click on the ones you want to look and their specs. The B series is the compact and the L series is the utility tractor. The L will be a little bigger tractor (I guess that's the simple answer to your question/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif).
I don't know much about the 2910, but the L3000 has been a great tractor for me. What do you intend to do with it? If a hydro trans is not important to you, and if you are like me and price plays an important role, the L3000 is a great tractor.
My intended uses include snow removal, horse manure management, brush mowing, light land scaping, and skidding a few logs. I reviewed the similiar specs. on both tractors and was courious as to why the L3000 was 600 lbs. heavier than the B2910. I am really leaning towards purchasing the L3000, but the 3010 has also sparked my interest. Kubota literature doesn't say much about the L3000 so any info in appreciated. Thanks.
Alaska- Not sure why the L3000 weighs that much more than the 2910, possibly because of older technology/design?
My dad has a L3010HST and is very happy with it also. I think you will be pleased with any of the 3 choices. I know the 3010 is a newer design with more features, for me the biggest selling point was the final cost but still getting a real work horse.
I think I've ruled out the B2910. Local dealer here says he can sell me a 2001 3010 with Fel for less than the cost of ordering a 2002 L3000. Does anyone know the list price on both of these models? Thanks.
Alaska -- I have an L3010 that does a super job year 'round here in the Green Mountains of Northern Vermont. With my Norse ice chains she handles the worst sub-zero conditions winter has to offer. Not sure about the price, since my rig was a package deal, but it's a heck of a tractor!
