Hi Guys.

In February I traded my BX 2350 for a B2920. The 2920 came with a backhoe, mmm and FEL.

I just took off the backhoe and reconnected the hydraulic line to the tractor. I took off the gate that was protecting the lever from raising or lowering the mower and rear three point hitch.

Now I am trying to lower the mower and I cannot get the height dial for the mower to move. I turned it so hard that I broke the plastic dial right off of the pin that it is supposed to turn. I tried raising the deck all the way up to turn the dial and it still did not work.

It seems pretty straigh forward as I had the exact same dial on my BX 2350 and know that it was hard to turn sometimes but I could eventually get it turned.

Does anyone know if there is a pin locking the deck or this dial in place? It is currently set at the top position. The dealer said it could be seized up even though the tractor is only three months old and I have never used the dial until now.

The dealer is sending someone out to look at it but with all the rain, mowing opportunities are few and far between.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Probolpher

Did you re-attach the 3pt hitch after removing the bachoe? Not sure how the B2920 works, but the B3200 has a mmm deck lift arm in the rear that that requires the lower 3pt arms to be installed or the deck will not go up or down.

I did not. I bet that's it. I was not planning on using the 3 pt hitch anytime soon so didn't think it was necessary. I'll try that. Thanks!

You have to put the 3pt hitch arms on. The left (looking at the back of the tractor) arm is the one that there is an orange bracket on that has the linkage that goes forward to lift and lower the MMM. You have to lift the mower off the height dial stops to be able to turn the dial. The deck may also be pinned in the up position in the front. They are kinda hard to see and get to.

Good Luck :)

Thanks guys. I will put them on when I get home. I should have thought of this. I wish the service dept would have told me this when I asked if there was any other possibilities that I am missing.

On my MMM, I have to lift the 3pt all the way up, then lower it just a tiny, tiny bit to take some pressure off. If I just lift the 3 pt all the way then the dial will not move. Something is binding someplace.

On a side note, how much does that MMM lift arm connected to the bottom left 3pt arm restrict the 3pt lift height. I have not taken it off yet, but it looks like it restricts the arms from going up at least an inch, maybe more?

The linkage should be adjusted so that it does not stop the 3pt arm from lifting. I would think that there might be a chance of stretching/bending or breaking something due to its mechanical advantage of where it is connected on the 3pt arm. I spent a good part of a day setting up the MMM on my B2620 and I believe the suggested length in the assembly manual for the linkage was not correct for my tractor. If you take the MMM off then you can get a better look under the tractor where the height dial is and how the linkage is moving and maybe see where it is limiting and binding.

I do have a BH subframe which limits the up position on my 3pt so there could be a diff there on my machine.

Good Luck :)
