Glad to help as I'm almost as green as you are. I discovered the difference while reading the EZ-Hitch post in the attachments forum on TBN. What you'll see in the picture is the bottom of an EZ-Hitch mounted on a horizontal drawbar that goes between the two3-point hitch bottom links. The top of the EZ-Hitch attaches to the top link of the three point hitch. Our swinging drawbar is the bar at the bottom that extends from the axle of the tractor. Our swing drawbars do not swing side to side as I'm told they did on early models of tractors, but the terminology is still the same as it was then. I hope that helps. Have you decided on a chain hook convention? Could you post pictures when you're done?
