B3030 and vibrations????

My 3030 has just under 5 hours on it and there is absolutely no vibration what so ever. The only thing I hear is the purr of those 4 pistons. No rattles, just smooth. I probably just jinxed myself.

Can you feel engine vibration in the steering wheel? No pins or anything make any noise? If this is true I wanna know whats different with yours /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.
I started 3 different B3030's at my dealers lot and they all did this. It doesn't feel like its coming apart or anything and they actually run very well. Its like something isn't isolated properly and it resonates along the machine and up the wheel or anything solid. I notice it more when I put my loader on my concrete floor. Like I said I don't think its serious I just think its a matter of canceling out the vibration somehow. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

No vibrations, no pins rattling, nothing in the steering wheel. The FEL, along with the rest of the tractor sit on my concrete garage floor. I took steps up the RPM band to see if it would pop up at higher RPM's, just smooth.

I just received my new B3030 and put 10 hours on it so far. I have not yet experienced any vibration in the wheel or HST pedal as you mentioned, in fact, this is one of the smoothest tractors I've ever been on. The only vibration/shaking I have is coming from the Gearmore 5' rotary cutter, but that goes away when the rpm's are at the proper level.
I love this tractor, it's a real pleasure to run it. Kubota's done a great job on design/convenience features and overall ease of use and operation. I did a lot of research prior to my purchase, and almost bought a JD 3120, but the B3030 has higher hp and dramatically higher pto hp than the JD. Plus JD didn't act like they cared if they sold a tractor or not. Their loss!

Follow up today w/my dealer on the B3030 virbration issue, in his words:

" I just got off the phone with our Kubota rep. He has contacted Kubota Tech about our problem. They have not had a tractor ,other than pre-production service training units, to work with until now. As I write this they are assembling a tractor that they have pulled from a dealer's inventory to find a solution to the problem. I will be in touch again as soon as I here more news."

I give them "A" for effort so far.

Are all the B3030 hst equipped? I would imagine it is some sort of harmonic, it can probably be solved once they isolate it by adjusting the mounting isolation methods, i.e. put a mount in that has some rubber in it, or a different hardness/thickness of rubber or something.

Well I am glad they are looking into this. Hopefully they will have an easy solution before long.
Thanks for the info.... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Vibrations??? Just run your brush cutter through something that bends 1 of the blades just a little bit, and you'll get major vibrations through the whole tractor. Such, if the bend is not much (and it usually is not), seems to straighten out within a 10 minutes of work time, and it's back to the norm. My L3410, with nearly 300 hours, vibrates like any diesel (there is no vibration free diesel tractor - except maybe those real large, custom cab farm "ships"), but only the cotter pins on the ROPS safety bolts will, on occasion, make any noise, and the steering wheel, FEL lever and all foot peddles don't seem to transmit anything of note.

Yeah diesels to vibrate especially at idle...but it should straighten out some at higher RPM's and not buzz your hands numb through the steering wheel. My 03 Dodge Cummins did the same thing and the fix was to mount a weight on one of the hydroboost lines. My 05 came from the factory with the weight.
My ZD mower vibrates at idle but runs smooth through the rest of the RPM range. This just isn't normal for a Kubota and I am glad I have others backing me up here. So maybe I'm not crazy? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
