B3030 hstdc, wont crank over,

Need some suggestions before I start checking. Just bought a B3030, after a long trip home went to unload it off the trailer and it wont crank over. Battery and connections are all right. (full voltage) I didn't have time to really check it over as it was late. It acts as lock out switch in preventing it from cranking over. PTO lever disengaged. It has a parking brake switch somewhere according to manual. Would this prevent it from starting if parking brake is on or switch is bad. I really can't check out much as it in on a trailer with sides and a belly mower. Can"t get to any thing much. Here is what I do know, I have another B3030 and I disconnected both under seat switches and tractor will still start so I don't think those switches will affect it. It will start with parking brake on . (maybe it's not suppose to with brake on, but it does) Next I am thinking HST switch. Don't think I can get to it on trailer. Bottom line, can I remove side panel cover and just jump the solenoid to get it started so I can get it off trailer? I can't pull it off because mower deck is down and so is bucket and no steering without engine running.

yes you can jump the solenoid or starter. get it out where you can get to things and then do your troubleshooting. that is what I would do also

Jumped the solenoid so I could get it off trailer and into shop. Took mower deck off so I could check HST switch. I checked all the lockouts and seat. Still wouldn't start. This is where I had a brain failure. I remember it was late when I got in and put the key in to start it. I remember that the key just turned freely like it wasn't turning any thing. Turned it back and took key out and realized I had put the door key in it. I put the ign. key in and everything worked but wouldn't crank. After spending 4 hours checking every thing out I put the door key back in it turned it to the crank position and pulled it out, then put the ign. key in and it cranked fine. Problem solved. I guess I had a dumb attack.
