b3030 or l3400 or l3240 which is best for me?

hello everyone i am new here and i am wondering which of these tractors will be best for me. i have 10 acres but also help my neighbor manage the hunting trails of the 160 acres that suround me i have about 5 acres to brush hog and a really long driveway to box blade and remove snow. which is the most effective tractor to do all this with.

I still would not want to guess! What will you mow your lawn with? Is it strictly to be used for the mowing and the trails? What is really long? Are you in a heavy snow area? Do you have a need to use the loader a lot? What is a long driveway and how wide?

You could do your work with anyone of these tractors. There are differences of comfort and size of attachments that can be used which would change the time involved to get the jobs done and the ease of the tasks.

How does your budget fit in this decision? It would be easy to say L3240 as it is the most advanced and fully featured tractor of the three. Unfortunately it is also more expensive than the others. The L3400 is a very basic tractor but is very capable and considerably heavier than the B3030 giving it an advantage in ground engaging tasks. The B3030 is perhaps the best deal for straight mowing and has more deluxe features than the L3400.

As others have said, if you are not finish mowing with the tractor, I would get the Grand L3240 as it is the most advanced of the three. I own the B3030 myself and I have been happy with it. Knowing what I know now, if buying again, I would get the Grand L for the better loader.

well thanks for the comments guys, i do all my finish mowing with a zero turn so there will be no need for the tractor in that area. my driveway is about 500 feet long and about 12 feet wide with about another 5 feet buffer on each side before the woods start. and yes i am in heavy snow country northern minnesota. although the last few winters have not been like they use to be. i do need a loader for square bales, rock and gravel. i think the b3030 is going to be to small, frame wise. what are pros and cons of the l3400 and the l3240. i have a budget of about 23k i would like to find a nice used tractor so i can afford all the implements i need as well. and what is the deal with the continuous pto what does that mean. the continuous part of coures ha is it good bad ugly?

23K should be plenty. The Kubota guys can chime in with pricing on the L3400 and L3240 but I'm sure you can get either and still have a good chunk left over for implements. I got a 41hp Kioti similar in features to the L3240 for under 18K last year. Kubota charges a premium but you should be able to get what you want with that budget. If I were you I'd get the nicer tractor (L3240) and look around for used implements. Much cheaper to upgrade implements than tractors.

That is true when with nearly every level of performance increase! The 3240 has more attachments available and not having lawn mowing duties makes this easy! Yes you can get by with less tractor if you have the time to do the work.
