I am thinking of buying a B3030 cab model. I have a 97' NH 1720. I have 11 flat acres that I will be mowing with a 72" Rhino finishing mower. My question is...should I have any problems using my mower? How well does the 3030 ride? How cool does the a/c keep ya? Are there any problems you have had?
I do have a 5' Field General rotary mower and a scrape blade that I will use every now and then. I don't cut anything real heavy with the rotary mower.

I recently purchased a B3030 HSD (no cab) that I'm using on some quite hilly areas with a Woods PRD 60" RFM. Some of the area I've cut has been neglected and was overgrown with very tall grass, briars, etc. and the B3030 handled it without difficulty although a rotary mower might have been easier for that initial cut. I suspect that the B3030 could handle a 72" finish mower on flat land without much problem. I had the rear tires filled on mine so the ride might be a bit rougher than if tires are unfilled, but the seat suspension is adjustable which helps a lot. I do find that the seat has a little forward tilt that always makes me feel like I'm sliding forward; others have reported similar, but your back side might fit differently. I hear that the cab is well sealed and that the AC & heating is excellent-I'm sure a HSDC owner will make a comment. That cab sure would be nice on a hot & dusty day!

A B3030 HSDC would be perfect for you. I have had mine for a year and no complaints I have the 72" MMM and FEL. I would strongly suggest Turf tires against the R4 standard tires if comfort is high on the list. A/C and heat work great on the most disgusting days. I currently have 80 hrs on mine. 6' mower will be handled with ease even in really tall grass and brush. The A/C will cool things down to the point where it will cause massive condensate to form on all the glass on the outside. Hope this helps your decision.

Thanks,
I have ag tires on my NH. So, I have thought of getting turf's on the Kubota. We have lived on this land for 4 years now and I plan on being here for a long time. The "hot and dusty" days make me really want this tractor. 11 acres is alot grass to maintain. The 3030 seems to make things way more comfortable.
I'm just trying to decide if the 3030 is worth the money. I have a shop to keep it in and I tend to take very good care of my equipment. So, It should hold up and give me years of service.
I have posted a question under Hew Holland - Priceing about how to go about finding how much I could get for my tractor. I know I could go to the dealer and ask, but I was just checking to see if there was anything on the net that might give me an idea.
Keep yur comments coming! They'll all be helpful.
Thanks again

Only thing I might interject is the SEAT! It gets kinda "hard" after about 3 hrs..and Ive got plenty of padding back there too...lol But you wont know how it fits YOUR rump till you had it awhile and been on it for long periods.

Just how long does it take to mow 11 acres....YIKES!!!

I purchased a B3030 HSDC last october, well over the 100 hour mark now. I use my machine in my business so my perspective is a little different. The 3030 rides nice once you get the seat adjusted. Heat,ac,are very strong, cab seal is very tight, stereo is nice, speakers are ok not great. This is a cat quality cab well worth the coin IMHO. The remote loader control is awesome. Very happy with the 3030. Do a search for B3030 100 hour review for additional info.

Sully2, It takes about 7 hours to cut the whole thing. Using the 72" finishing mower. I have 22 Pecan trees and 9 Oak trees. The rest is wide open. The back (lets say...7 acres) is wide open. No trees at all. So the cab is looking really good to me.

Have you done a cost comparison between a Kubota B3030 and "astro turf"??....lol WAAAYYYY too many hours for this old boys butt to be glued to a tractor seat. LOL

That's the main reason I am thinking of getting the 3030 cab. I usually don't cut the back 5 acres. I run the rotary mower over it 2 or 3 times a year. It takes about 3 hours to cut. The part I keep cut takes about 4 hours. But my better half wants to keep all of it up on a regular basis. Arghhhh!! With the 3030 I won't feel so bad about gettin' her out there and doin' it when I can't. hahaha
I'm just wanting some insight from 3030 cab owners to see if that is what I really need. Never hurts to do some research befoe making such a purchase.

I recently bought the B3030 HSDC after using a BX2200 for six years to mow five plus acres. They are both great machines but here in Mississippi the heat makes the cab a real winner. After three hours of mowing (72"MMM) i'm still in pretty good shape and not wrung out from the heat. The only difference tween the machines (other than the a/c) is the ride. The BX has turf tires and the B03030 has industrial tires and a noticeably harsher ride.
