I have a semi hard time hooking up implements, and am trying to figure out the best combination to make it easier. Should I pull both pins on the stabilizers and expand the lower links , and then re-adjust them after hooking it up? My old 8N is so sloppy and loose I could almost back up to anything sideways and still hook up...LOL. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Mr. Ron....

That's what I do with my 3030.....just pull the pins and go!

FWIW.......

Thanks Swmpbgy, I was hoping that was the trick...I'll try it out as soon as it dries out around here....We love the rain..but it sure is boring not being outside working :)

The arms on my B2910 are the same as your B3030. After using them for 7 years they are loose. Probably not as bad as your 8N. When backing up to a attachment I push the arms all the way out and set pins in holes (no hair pin clips) to hold arm in position before moving close. I then back to within 2" of attachment. Get off tractor. Adjust arm height with position control. Hook up left side link by removing pin and adjusting link as needed. I then go to other side using ratchet to adjust height. Then removing pin and using adjustable link to hook up attachment. Attach top link. I then raise arms with position control or backup tractor to get adjustable links to lock back in position. Make sure that adjustable link are in position before dropping pins back in place. I did not do this one time. Had to take apart linkage to get pins out. Do not forget to put hair pin clips on arm pins. I lost one of these. Got lucky and found it. But only after buying a new/spare set. :(

For those times when I don't have the quick hitch on...
I pull the stabilizer pins and back up with the lift arms just under the implement pins. Then I spread the arms out and (manually) lift them up into place with the implement pins (remember there is no resistance to lifting them, other than the dead weight of the links themselves). I don't put the stabilizer pins back in until the implement is all hooked up. Quick & dirty, don't know of a faster way to do it.
