I found a 2006 B3030 w/loader, 68 hours for $14,900 from a local dealer (about an 1 hr away). Is this a good price? I hoping to take look at it later this week, what are things I should specifically check for when looking at this tractor.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

My local dealer has one with 79 hrs they are asking 17,500 for. Maybe its so much more cuz it has a canopy bolted to the ROPS ?

3030 is a good machine, just look for leaks, cracks, breaks, or other signs of abuse. Sounds like a deal to me !

My local dealer has a B7800 with a Kubota FEL and a Woods hoe. It has 65 hours on it. They were asking $18,000 for it.

I would be interested at that price for the B3030.

My .02 --

I just paid $18.5k for a new B3030 with the LA403 FEL and 60" MMM. If you subtract the $2300 for the MMM, that puts me at $16.2k for the tractor/loader combo. YMMV on your local pricing and dealer flexibility, of course.

If you have to finance (I don't know if Kubota offers 0/42 on used tractors???), I think you'd be better off buying brand new with Kubota's 0/42 and full warranty.

Assuming you'd finance at 4.9% for 42 months, that would cost you a total of $1344 in interest, which would put you over that $16.2k figure by a few bucks.

On the other hand, I'd have to pay NY state sales tax of $1175 on a purchase of $16.2k. So that tips the numbers the other way again.

It's close. Personally, for something that close, I'd go new.

I'm being quoted $14,700 for the B3030 with turf tires..Does this quote seem high to you?

My best quote for the 3030 was $14,500 with the R4 tires. Then add $3,400 for the FEL. Lindy you got a great deal.

Thanks! I think I did.

But I don't want to misrepresent the deal I got. I probably got a larger discount because I purchased BOTH the FEL and the 60" MMM. Would he have given me the tractor/FEL combo for $16.2k if I'd asked for that package? Maybe not. I'm sure he must've had more wiggle room with the mower in the package also. My guess is he would've told me $16.6k, since that's 15% off '07 MSRP for just the tractor and the FEL.

And it bears repeating, I had to pay $1340 in NYS sales tax, plus a $60 "NYS filing fee" on top of the figures I quoted above.

Still, I think my dealer treated me very well! He will get my business again.

And as always -- Your Mileage May Vary!

It's hard to say. From what I can tell, that's about 8% off of 2007 MSRP. My dealer was kind enough to give me about 15% off MSRP. But maybe that's because I also purchased the FEL and MMM.

Where I am we have to add either 6% or 7% sales tax. It depends on what County you purchase the tractor in. So your tax sounds like it is pretty close to ours in Pa.

@Lindy,

The base price quoted for the tractor was with a FEL,MMM and Tiller as part of a package. Initially, it doesn't sound as if much of a discount was given.
