Hi, I'm new to TBN and I'd like to hear from some of the owners of the
B3030HSDC. I've been considering purchasing that model for over a month now, in which time I've researched the heck out of it, but I want some input from those of you who own one.
I have a small landscape biz and would like to know how this tractor will hold up to commercial use. I finally got a chance to test drive one earlier this week and my first impression was it was too small and didn't appear to be heavy duty enough for what I plan on using it for, which is; harley raking, rototilling, brush and small tree cleanup using a 60" bucket with grapple, post hole digger, front mounted snowblower, and the Woods backhoe for occasional trench work and small stump removal. Will I be happy with this tractor???
By the way, my 2nd choice would be the new B26, but I really like the cab on the 3030.
Complaints or praise!!
Any and all input would be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Brian
You have no idea of the thousands upon thousands upon thousands of members on this and several other tractor boards and what we all do with these Little tractors day in and day do you?
Well stick around and you can't help but find out.
Welcome to the club.

You already think the 3030 will be too small. I think you might fall short on HP for the harley rake and rototilling work. Everything else would be OK.

You know what they say - find what you think you'll need and go one size bigger. L4400 maybe.

i bought a b3030 a few months ago and use it in my business. I mostly do what i consider "tractor work" with it, using the FEL and BH. I have no idea how your long list of implements will work with this unit but i have been very pleased using it to clear brush, dig stumps, move soil, move very large rocks, build planting beds, dry stack walls, french drains, ect...
It seems to me with your list of implements, especially the Harley rake, you would want a skid steer due to the size and whats available for it. with a skid steer you can move around in a tight lot better than with a tractor and the list of implemts is huge.
just a thought

I've used a track loader (ASV RC-30) with a harley rake several times in the past, and although it did a good job, I found it was a bit time consuming.
There really is no way to set a consistent depth with it, and to do a finish pass it must be done in reverse which is a pain in the neck, literally!

So I've been considering the B3030HSDC for this type of work, along with the other stuff I mentioned in my previous post. A harley rake behind you instead of in front should do a better job!

If I could rent a B3030 with a harley rake then I'd know for sure if it will work out for me....................but no one rents one around hear, so I turned to this forum for an answer, but I'm still undecided on which way to go;
B3030HSDC and work in comfort with the nice heated and air conditioned cab but possibly be under powered, or the ASV and deal with driving around in reverse a lot, being in the weather, and have a sore neck by the end of the day!!

Keep the feedback coming,

Brian

BrianW,
What size was the PR16, 5ft or 6ft?
The rake was a 5ft. La Plata Mills in La Plata, MD rents this rake with a B3030 tractor.

If this is so why does every body get all hung up with AGs on little ole S-Cuts and garden tractors?
Im not sure that i understand your question, could you rephrase it?

Go with the L2600HST-F it is cheaper in price, has a stronger Transmission and is a heavier tractor.

The dealer in Middletown, CT works with the company that I work for in Southington, CT and is very helpful to us, he may offer some good incite as to your needs. Does the B3030 have the proper rear hydraulics and control valve needed for a Harley Rake?
