I have a Kubota b3200, and when I am lifting with the 3-point, with the mowing deck off, it is "digging into" the lift arms @ the area of the lift brackets for the deck. THey are the orange "L" type brackets that ride on the top of the lift arms, my apologies if I have the actual name of them wrong.

I had talked to the dealer about them, and they had taked a "Grinder" to the original set, and ground out the metal so that the L brackets would not dig into the lift arms. I'm no rocket scientist, but does that seem like a permanent fix?

I was livid, and they ended up replacing the lift arms, as well as the brackets. Only problem was, the brackets, (so I'm told), were scratched so they went ahead and "painted" them. Needless to say, the new ones are in, and I have to pick them up.

Does anyone else have the problem where the brackets are "digging/gouging" into the lift arms? Can this issue be simply an adjustment? They told me they did an adjustment, and it would marr the paint on the lift arms "slightly".

Next--I have a pressure leak in the tube, (hardline, gray in color), just below the seat on the right side. The leak appears to be a crack right where the tube joins onto round piece which has the bolt in it. Is this a common thing?

Thanks so much!!

Chris

Can you take a picture? I can't quite figure where you are talking about. Nothing on my B3200 3pt hitch is orange.

Possibly the bracket that sits on top of the lower left link arm which raises/lowers the deck? Mine ate into the top a little bit too, but nothing to get worried about.

Likewise the same happened to mine as well. There was an adjustment I made to relieve some of the pressure - think it was putting the lower link arm in the rear or middle position for the lift arm (if there is a middle position - might only be two) - will have to check tomorrow. Needed to do this anyway to get lower lift arms for BB use so it helped on two points.

I think I know what you are talking about. First off, some wear is to be expected when two pieces of metal contact each other. The paint is worn off my lift arms where they contact the orange brackets that lift the mower. I can't say there are any deep gouges, though. When I first took delivery of my B3030 the linkage rods that go from the orange brackets to the arms that actually lift the mower deck were adjusted too short. When the 3PTH lever was in the fully raised position I could hear a hissing noise which I determined was being caused by the fact that the lift arms could not raise all the way to the top. That was because the mower deck lift arms were at the end of their travel before the 3PTH lift arms were at the end of their travel. This was putting a lot of stress on the points were the lift arms and the orange brackets touched. That could be the cause of the gouging on your arms. To fix the problem I adjusted the linkage rods longer. The easiest way to adjust them is to loosen them up, raise the 3PTH all the way up and then shorten the linkage rods as much as possible and then back them off a little so there is some play in them. A little extra play is needed because if/when you adjust the link on the right hand lift arm, and you adjust it shorter, it will lift the lower link higher which may cause it to pull the mower linkage into a bind. Also, before you adjust the mower lift linkage rods be sure that your 3PTH lower links are the same length on both sides. You may have to adjust the RH linkage to achieve that. I take a tape measure and measure from center to center the pins at the ends of the link. Hope that helps. Good luck.
