b5100 charging problem

Hi all just bought a b5100 one owner tractor which has got very little use but it is not charging the battery.Everything on the tractor is origional and everything else works.Has anyone out there got a wiring digram or maual they would email me to get this little gem sorted?

Haven't got any diagrams.

Check the AC/DC rectifier behind the dash panel (the finned thing).

To do this check whether the two wires from the dynamo will light a test light (battery disconnected, engine running). I think you'll find two bullet connectors somewhere below the exhaust manifold, make sure they're contacting.

If there's power up to the rectifier check the remaining wires on the rectifier (3 I think) to see whether any combination will light the test light (as above).

If there's power into the rectifier, but not out, it must be a faulty rectifier.

Here's a scan of my B7100 electrical diagram. It may be the same as your 5100.

just got time to look at the b5100 again today and after following wires found a wire off the iginition switch.After connecting it everything seems to work and it is charging at 14,5 volts at 50% revs.thanks to those who replied and the wiring is the same as the b7100.
