Are there significant differences between B7100 and B7001? Where can operator/owner/repair manuals be obtained?

buyer be ware on the b7001 it is a gray market tractor and you can not hardley find parts for these tractors. a dead give away is if the tractor has a lot of japanese writing on it.

Hi,

As 4k states, the B7001 is the grey market version of the B7100. First thing is, if you go to a Kubota dealer NEVER tell them you have a B7001. Always tell them it's a B7100. They are required by big 'bota in Japan to not play nicely with grey market tractors.

There are a few differences between the tractors, most of them being safety related. The B7001 was sold in Japan, to Japanese farmers, and is not 'up to' US standards. There is a very helpful website with info on grey markets, PM me if you want the address. I can also lead you to the owner's manual online if you'd like.

I am in Canada with this 7001. It looks pretty much like a 7100. The glow plugs seem pretty universal and I've put in new ones. This tractor is amazing for moving snow with the front bucket (we have lots here). A manual will be helpful, as would be any other good info (parts number lists) for a 7001/7100. I'm looking for a st1 3-point hitch pull mower for summer. This unit has a tiller on it but i should be able to get a mower too? Can I run most any mower on this unit? I've read that in some the PTO may be reverse rotate? True?

Assuming it's just like the B7100 then the 3ph is a standard setup with PTO spinning in the normal direction. My B6100 (similar but less HP) used to have a 48" tiller on the back. I would think the limiting factor would be the HP and what the 3ph can lift. This guy has a pretty large one on his tractor: KUBOTA B6100 WITH BUSH HOG / FINISH MOWER $2500.00
