B7100 attachments

Hey, y'all. My name is Sean Griffis from East Alabama. I recently purchased a few acres and a 1976 b7100 hdt to go with it. The tractor came with a mower, but I need a front end loader and eventually a backhoe attachment. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

You could get (very) lucky and find a loader and backhoe with subframe, but it would still be expensive and a time consuming affair. I would start looking at used or new machines configured with a loader and backhoe.

I purchased a new B7100 HST with front end loader (FEL) in 1979. I added a backhoe a few years later, which required a sub frame. There were 3pt mounted hoes available at the time, but I was strongly advised not to go that route.

As suggested above, you would likely do better by selling the 7100 and buying something already equipped with a FEL & BH. Adding these to your existing tractor will be difficult, time consuming and probably more expensive in the long run.

Also consider how often you would use the BH. It's a hassle to put on and take off every time you need it. If you don't use it that often, it might be less aggravating and more cost effective to just rent a hoe when needed.
