I got my B7100 back together. In the process I made a few modifications. some out of convenience and some just to amuse me. You will notice that the frame color is now black. It was out to the sandblaster and painter for a month and they mistakenly painted it black instead of grey. I got a discount as a result (good for me). Since it is not going up for a restoration award (skipping the Concours' de Elegance this year) I didn't actually mind.
I made a few changes to the instrumentation as seen in the pictures. A Datel Voltmeter is in the upper left, below that a water temp gauge, and an oil pressure gauge on the right. I moved the hour meter down to the HST cover and a transmission temp gauge I placed in the HST cover by the seat. Replaced light and hazard switches with toggles. Have yet to put labels on.
I modified the hazard lights to LED, but to my chagrin they won't flash because of the old flasher switch needs more sumthin' to work (had this problem before with so will order a different switch to correct.)
It started and ran just fine. Have some other things to tweak over the next few days.
On the back is an old (circa 1953) Cyclone Seeder which uses a flexible PTO shaft. I found it on craigslist stuck in some barn (since 1954 I suspect) and rebuilt it while waiting for paint work to be done.
My wife is happy it is running now so it can be moved to the farm and out of our garage!
