I have seen several of the older kubota tractors loose oil psi at low rpm. The cause is usually the end plugs in the camshaft. The early models had aluminum plugs in the cam and the plug would come out under certain conditions such as running the engine at high rpm's when the oil is old/cold and thick. To cure the problem remove the cam and tack weld a set screw into each end of the cam and your oil psi will be right back up to spec. I have repaired 5 or 6 older Kubota tractors with the same symtoms you are talking about. Kubota does have a service bulletin on this issue but it will be dating back to the late 70's to very early 80's. if your local dealer is helpful he should be able to find the bulletin for you. I think that the oil psi light comes on at 7 psi or less.
