B7100d Clutch won't disengage

Have an old B7100d that has provided several years of great service.
It has just developed a problem.

After running for a few minutes the clutch does not seem to disengage fully,
It makes a noise like the clutch is half engaged. It will continue to go if foward while the clutch is depressed when this is happening.
I have tried adjusting the clutch pedal travel with out results.

When it cools down it works fine for a few minutes. Then begins the noise again.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Not sure what the temp may have to do with it other than it may be expanding some as it warms up. It is likely you have some worn parts. I just had the PTO clutch worked on on my 22 yr old JD 950. The pedal rod, linkage, the internal fork that acutates the clutch, etc were all worn so bad they could no longer push the clutch far enough to fully disengage it.

I have split the tractor and can't find any obvious issue.

The only thing that is a bit strange is there is a fair amount of oil on and in the bell housing.
looks like some oil may have gotten on the clutch disk. Is is possible that the oil heats up and causes the clutch to start sticking??

Yes oil can make a clutch grab/stick it will expand some lining materials.

SIR,
i am not sure how your tractor is made, but
on some older tractors, when you have oil on,
or near the clutch, there is a leak in the freeze
plug that blocks off the cam bearing, on the back
of the engine. if you still have the tractor split in
half, remove the clutch plate, and you should be
able to see this.
