Hi Guys,

New to forum, hi to everyone from Australia.
Does anyone know where I can obtain a copy of the operating manual for my tractor. When I obtained the B7100HST-D I didn't get a manual. I was able to get one for the manual xmission version but not the hydrostatic. Any assistance would be most welcome.

Thanks Keith.

Hello Randall,

Thanks for the reply, I have already downloaded this manual, it covers the early model manual transmission. I am looking for an operating manual which covers the hydrostatic version.

Cheers Keith

Maybe a TBN member will have mercy on you and upload their manual onto Kubota books for you. Do you have the parts manual for your tractor?

Hello Randall,

I would be good if someone could do that. No I do not have a parts manual as yet.

Regards,

Keith

Kubotabooks has the parts manual for your model. I'd suggest one of the more important jobs is to check the condition of the metal mesh screens. (Part 040 on page 155 and part 070 on page 157). Part 070 is the important one as this is the one that feeds oil to the HST. A blocked screen can bring a HST to a halt. They probably get overlooked in older tractors because some owners don't even know they are there.

Hello alchemysa,

Thanks for the info, have downloaded parts book and indentified filters, will check/change when time is available. I have owned this tractor for about 4 yrs and am now trying to understand different modes of operation. I have virtually only only used it for mowing the paddocks and lawn. I did pick up a rear grader blade, about 6 ft, some time ago and want to fit it and see what I can use it for.

Cheers Keith.

Hello alchemysa,

will check/change when time is available.

The metal mesh filters just need to be gently cleaned next time you do a hydro oil change. You would not normally need to replace them.

What kind of operations are you thinking off?:D

I'll post a few pictures of a B7100 HST being used in different situations with different attachments.:D

Hello Egon,

B7100 looks like a versitile little beast. I was thinking of using it to pile up tree branches and clearing shrubs, I have a 6 ft rear mount blade but not shure how it mounts. I don't know if I have all the pieces required and don't know if I have to remove my 60 inch MMM. I am told that there is a method whereby you can secure the deck in a full up position and still use the hydraulic lift???? Also all the markings on the transmission case are missing, so I have no idea what all the levers do. An operators manual would be handy.

Cheers Keith.

You would probably want to remove the MMM to do any other work. It hangs up on high spots quite easily.

Look at the parts manual for the three point. That will give you all the pieces required.

There are not many levers. Three point raise and lower, hi/low range, PTO hi/low range lever and the differential lock which is so placed you step on it.

I was in the same fix a few years ago when i "inherited" a B7100HST from my dad who had lost the manual. A good place for replacements is "Jensales". They have copies of manuals for everything at a price. About $25 US for the manual you need. You'll find it really necessary if you ever run the tank dry of diesel - several non-intuitive steps to blow the line!!! Here's the URL you'll have to order it and have it shipped:

Ford 8N, Farmall Cub, Original Operators, Technical, and Service Manuals, and Parts Catalogs for dozers, tractors, combines, implements, road graders.

Ozguy,
The B7100 is a vertual little mule. I had one for about two years, and used it for everything from plowing over a foot of snow with the rear blade, to skidding out trees, to spreading loam/gravel, to mowing brush. I loved that little tractor, only traded up because I wanted power steering and a good deal presented itself, so I picked up a B7500. I sold my B7100 for what I paid for it after a solid 2 years of use. Even the Mrs. was impressed with that!
Good luck with your little mule. The only advice I'll give you is:
1. A 6' blade sounds a little large, depending on what you use it for, be careful pushing backwards with the plow, I did this and bent some of the links on my lower hitch arms.
2. IF you are mowing fields with it, be sure to keep the grill clear of any debris so she doesn't overheat.
