In all my Kubota manuals, I can't seem to find anything about the proper lubricant to put in the steering box. Is it 80wt gear oil like most other things or ??? The previous owner neglected the steering box and it had 6"-8" of freeplay and the box was full of water and oil!

I've adjusted the freeplay down to about 3/4", but I need to know what lubricant to put back in the box. Thanks! :)

HI there,

My B Series Kubota maintenance chart says that the steering oil grade is SAE10 to 20, although here in the uk the kubota dealer says to use the equivalent of Super UDT in all of the tractor, engine, gearbox, axles etc and as we dont have super UDT in the uk to use BP super Agri MP, which is what I do in my B7100. The cahrt syas that it takes 0.2 litres to fill it.

Hope this helps
