3-Point Hitch B7200 hydraulics bleed off?

Going to look at a B7200 with about 1200 hours supposedly that has primarily been used with a tiller in a nursery. Haven't seen the tractor yet, but the seller says the 3 pt hitch drops to the ground and stated in his ad that the hydraulics bleed off.

Had a brief talk with the Kubota dealership who said the B7200 has a lot of controls for the hydraulic system--could be O rings on the lift cylinder, could be scoring, etc. So they say it could be anything from something cheap to fix to something fairly expensive and the only way to start to figure it out is to take off the panel at the back and start looking.

Otherwise, the seller says it needs two front tires and is asking $3000.

Anybody have experience with this kind of issue on the B7200?

This machine is very easy to isolate whether it is the control valve or the o-ring on the 3-pt piston. Raise the 3-pt up with an implement on it. With the implement all of the way up, close the lowering speed control knob under the seat and turn the machine off. If the implement drops fairly quickly the problem is the o-ring on the piston, if not it is in the valving.

I have replaced many 3-pt piston o-rings on that era machine. If there is scoring in the cylinder you can hone and knock down the high spots, if the piston is really scored it can be replaced at a reasonable cost. Don't be afraid to just replace the o-ring and back-up ring and run it if it isn't severely scored. Sure it won't last like it was new but it will still hold up for quite awhile, more than a few years for the average household user.
