B7500/7510 HST Sticking In Reverse!!!

Am I the only one who has had this problem? I posted this with my B7500 a year or two ago, and now the same problem with my new B7510. It is the clevis pin that the lift chassis pivots on just behind the reverse go pedal. Last time I had to "mark" the clevis as to the absolute minimum the length could be and still have a hole in it for the cotter pin, cut the clevis, and redrill the hole. Asked the dealer then, and asked the new dealer now, and they never heard of it before. I have the stained shorts to prove it's happened to me, and almost a dent in the barn, too. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I had mine stick once, and then I greased the zerc on the cradle bearing and it has been fine ever since. I give it a squirt about every 50 hours.

Have had my 7500 for a year now and that hasn't happened to me yet.

No, you're not alone.......I remember reading your thread as I was having the same problem with my then new B7500. However, I didn't want to go to all that trouble you did redrilling and grinding the pin. I found that if you simply take it out and put it in from the opposite direction that that will also solve the problem. Now, getting it in there is no easy task but then again you only have to do it once. I haven't had a problem since!! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I see in your bio that you have a RFM. The sticking pedal only happened to me when I had my 60" belly mower fully raised and hit reverse. It's an interferance issue with the belly mower brackets and the hydro pedal.
