Wow! Man, I know *exactly* what you went through to get these suckers out. I did the same with some maple trees using a John Deere 4600 and 48 backhoe and it was NOT fun. Nibble here and there and move the tractor, nibble some more and move again. I have new respect for yellow excavators that weight 20,000 lbs.........These little compacts of ours are fun, but they are not anywhere close to the ability of a real tractor loader backhoe....

I just finished getting the last one out this weekend. All together I had 7 clusters of stumps/rootballs. The last one was in hard clay and of course it was the biggest. It took me forever to get out. I really enjoy my seat time, but...... I am so glad this job is done.
