At my request the dealer moved the tires on my B7500 out to the second to the last outward position. He then moved the roller to it's highest position. The MMM goes all of the way up and does not hit the tire but it is close. The manual shows this tire position for the 60" MMM.
I had this done because I will be doing a lot of FEL work in the next couple of months, some on slopes. It looks like the tires moved about about two inches per side. The roller does hit the tire if I lift up on the MMM on that side, but barely. My worry is that if I hit some uneven terrain while the MMM is all the way up that it could possibly hit the tire.
I know this is an issue with the B7500/60" MMM. Has anyone done this exact thing with their B7500 and 60" MMM and how has it worked out? I have read about problems with tires all the way out and ruining MMM rollers. The other question is it worth the extra 4 inches in tread width for FEL work? Do I really get that much or any benefit?
