Just curious . has anyone used the mower in High gear or should you always be in Low ?

the dealer suggested to mow in Low , but i couldn't find anything in the manual .

There is a thread on low/high range mowing; some do and some don't. My back can't handle going very fast, so low almost always for me while my wife mows in high as much or more than low and would never put it in low if not for our hills.

I mow in low, but I have lots of hills. But, in low I can basically just floor it and not worry about it going too fast. Not that it is all that fast in high....

Thanks for the mowing speed replies . I mowed around a little today in low and it was fine high speed is a little much with my bumpy moon surface lawn .

Congrats to the good looking machine.
I mowed in HI all the time with my B7510 with a 60" deck. When the grass was too high (8"+) and I went too fast the engine was starting to drop RPM. So. I just slowed down. Only switched into Lo when mowed the hill and tight turns near my house. I even mowed some pasture with it. Full throttle and feathered the HST pedal in Lo gear. It was very slow but worked fine and the grass got cut.

I mow in high most of the time, low for the really steep places or when I mow the field (deck up all the way) once or twice a year.

Thanks for your comments . I tried mowing a little bit in high but i found it is not worth it with my bumpy lawn .

By the way Milo i just did a seat swap with $100.00 deal from Messick's . i am really impressed with the new seat . the bump out on the top of the old one hit my back in a bad way .
