b7500 pricing help

hey guys trying to sell my b7500 and wondering what you guys think on the pricing.
I think the numbers are right but could use a sanity check.

clean b7500 979hrs, hydrostatic, 4wd not sure on exact year but they were only made between 2000-2003
front tires have some cracking but hold air fine (I think only 65/each new) back are fine no cracks
runs great, current on all maintenance
quick attach on front well you can see the rest from the picts.

I figure just the tractor and FEL with standard pin on bucket would be worth 8500 as my base price
quick attach 1000
curtis cabs look like they are 3800 new, so I am figuring 2000 used
pallet forks + homemade bush forks adapter (500 new) + tooth bar (300) + counter weight = 500

I have it up with an asking price of 12k but am getting resistance. It feels like people arent pricing the extras right.

I am considering selling off the cab and going back to a pin on bucket and letting them start from scratch.

Thoughts?

It seems to me that the $8500 base price is a little high, a bare tractor with a loader seems to run around $5000-7000, add in a Mid Mount Mower and it goes up to $6000 to $8000 depending on condition.
This is based off what I've seen on the Finger Lakes, Rochester and Syracuse Craigslists over the past year or so.

As a whole package, I think are high. A couple things that detract value from the buyers perspective is no mower and no snow removal equipment other than bucket and cab. Even though you pay a lot for the various attachments, they aren’t usually as valuable on resale as you would like them to be. Looking online at sites like TractorHouse.com | Used Tractors For Sale: John Deere, Case IH, New Holland, Kubota. or other online sales sites are a good way to find similar tractors for sale and see the price asking. Personally I think listing for $10,500 and hoping to end up at $9,500-10,000 actual selling price is more realistic. Just my 2 cents.

Another vote for too high on that base price. I got about $7500 out of mine on a trade in for an L3400 in 2009 with a lot less hours. It was not hydro though, I think the base is worth between $6500 and $7500 now with the hydro.

For reference I sold my 2003 B7500 with 386 hours just over a year ago. It was always garaged and in mint condition with a LA302 Loader and 54" ground contact MMM. Also came with two sets of wheels/tires, the original wheels with R4 tires and a newer set of wheels with turfs. Advertised it for $10,600, had a couple low ballers but ended up selling it for that price.

My b7500 HST just developed issues. Dealer doesn't have interest in it. 2001 model with 1100 hrs. Dealer advised to sell it outright for $2500. That would include FEL. Does this sound like good advice ?

What is broken? Sounds like a good deal for the buyer.
My guesses on values for the large parts:
Loader is worth $1000-2000ish
Mid mount mower is worth $800-1500ish
Engine is worth $500-1000ish in running condition
Transmission/rear end is worth $1000ish in working condition
Tin is worth about $500
ROPS is worth $150-500ish
Wiring harness is worth $100ish
Radiator and hydraulic cooler are worth $100-300ish in good shape
3 point hitch arm are worth $200ish
Tires and wheels are worth $200-800 depending on how much tread is left

moship, The dealer said they couldn't determine the cause of the HST not delivering power to the wheels without looking inside the tranny. The estimate for that type of diagnosis was $3000. If the parts to fix it are available....$4---5,000. The tractor does move but will bog down at times like it wants to stall. Trying to pull a load (big tree stump) it will not spin the wheels. RPMs will not drop much. If it were a standard tranny I would definitely say clutch problems. Dealer said it doesn't have clutch plates but it could be slipper plate. The dealers back log of repair projects was a primary reason they didn't want to deal with it.

Aaron Z, The tractor is not totally broke.......just real sick. If I use your low end for pricing the parts it would only be about $2000 value. Simply because I still need the snowblower and wood chipper . Doesn't have a mower. I suspect tranny problems as I replied to moship.

Time to find a better dealer who can look at a parts book? We have a B7500 HSD (4wd Hydrostatic) and it most certainly has a clutch. Here is a screenshot of the revalent section of the parts book from the Messicks parts app:

If you put it into low range does it push any better? Does the hydro stat whine when it is stalled out trying to push something heavy?

Dealer should not need to open up the transmission to do a couple of basic tests on it. There are external test ports where you can test the pressure of the various hydraulic pumps inside the transmission and make sure that they are pumping hydraulic fluid like they are supposed to.
If your mechanically inclined, I believe that the shop manual can be found on Kubotabooks.com that will tell you where to find the transmission test ports and you could use those along with a gauge, a hose and some adapters (probably $50 total) to test the pressures yourself and to see how is working without needing to open up the transmission.

It makes no difference high or low range. I notice more of a vibration in the pedal instead of a whine. I agree with you on the dealer apathy. They have more interest in quarter million dollar machines than a home owner toy. They had the tractor for a month and I figured they had done those external pressure checks. Obviously they didn't; just said it could be the hydraulic pump. I don't have the work shop or the metric tools to take the thing apart and plan on buying a new tractor (not from that dealer ). I do have a large tarp to put over it when I park in the woods. btw , that picture sure looks like a clutch out of my 65 GTO .......which I replaced many times after drag racing. That was 51 years ago however. Thanks for the info.
