Anyone know if a 60" box blade will be too much
for my B7500DT Kubota?

The book reccomends 54", but a 60" is a lot more common.

Thanks

Consensus here is usually that "the book" gives good, albeit conservative, advice. Covering your tracks (wheel width) is a good thing to do. Not setting your tines as deep and going a little slower ought to make up for the slight difference if you actually need to do anything. The 60" width might actually be cheaper to buy new than a 54". I know with King Kutter at my local TSC the 60" is available for less money than the 54" simply because the 54" is a special order. Also, if you're going to buy used I'd think you'd find far more 60" than 54" around. I hope this helps.

I have a 48" for mine. I believe the 60 would be too much. The 48 covers the wheels perfectly.

I thought maybe the book would be a little conservative.

The local tractor supply only stocks 60". I figure slower isn't always bad either. I haven't even seen any used blades around this area.

Thanks for the advice

Do you really think the 60" will be too much? The loader is 60" and I've moved a lot of dirt with it.

I guess I haven't any experience with a box blade either.

I haven't found any dealers who stock anything other than the 60" and I'd really hate to special order something.

Thanks for the advice.

60" may not be too wide, but too heavy. When the Kubota folks recommend 48" they are saying within the safe working limits of the tractor. By safe meaning not harming the owner or the tractor.
I wouldn't put a 60" on my tractor. I'm not sure where you live at but the fine folks at Sweet Tractor Sales can ship you a 48" blade and I bet save you money even after shipping you the item.
I don't work there, just one happy customer.

What type of loader do you have? Mine is the LA302 and only has a 48" bucket.

The King Kutter blade I'm looking at only ways 415lbs. I'm not positive, but I'm sure my 48" woods brush bull ways more than that.

I was really hoping to put this thing to use this weekend. I just can't find a 48" around, without buying a woods, which there isn't room in the budget for right now.

I have a woods 1006 FEL, I guess it only has a 54" bucket, which I better measure to be sure. I believe this loader has a 54" or 48" option. (I've never measured it and can't remember what I bought!)

The thing that scared me about the box blade were the scarifiers, I thought if it were too much for the tractor I would either slow down or remove a tooth or two.

Thanks for all the advice.
