Hello all. I have to admit I'm not an expert about my tractor. I have a B7510 HSD with a Woods backhoe that gets it's hydraulic power off the loader valve (or as near as I can tell). I've disconnected the backhoe and connected the hoses together. I bought an aerator and attached it to the 3 point hitch. But when I go to lift it by moving the handle to my side, it shoots fluid down the backhoe lines (or as near as I can tell, the hoses jump). I spoke to someone who asked about the flow control valve. There is a valve below the seat between my legs. I tried to move it but it's stuck. So my questions are:
1. what does the flow control valve do
2. how can I free it up

Your thoughts are greatly appreciated. Scott

Your hoses will probably jump when pressure is built up by using the 3pt.

There is a valve beneath the seat called the descent valve, which sets the lowering speed for the 3pt..

It will also lock the 3pt for transport.
