Anyone ever had to have the PTO shift fork replaced and know how difficult it is ? I'm looking at a b7510 with low hours, however the owner says the MID PTO doesn't work any more (his wife engaged mid pto with RPM's to high). Said local kubota dealer said about $1,000 to fix. Just wondering if this sounds about right.

Thanks !

I don't know what it would cost but be sure to look into it in detail before buying. The B7510 only had one PTO engagement lever. Push it one way it puts 540 RPM power to the rear PTO, push it the other way and it runs the mid PTO at 2500 RPM and the rear at 960 RPM. I wonder how it is possible that one does not work yet the other is still functional. It would be a good question for a Kubota mechanic.
I wonder if the PTO was engaged without the clutch pressed in? Just a thought.
