b7510 vs JD 4110

"One more thing, John Deere has a book comparing their tractors to others. Stop by and ask for one or at least the page for the 7500.vs.4110. Read it over, then take it to the Kubota dealer and let him/her give you the Kubota side of the story."

Sorry, I was not putting the evil eye on you /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif. The book you mention is likely dishonest just as is quite a bit of the info stated in the initial post in this thread, where you think that came from? Similar misinformation was on their website unless it has been corrected. I do feel that the JD 4110 does have one thing the 7510 does not have--PC. The 2410 has PC. I got a great deal on my 2410. I could live with out it and I would not pay 2,000 dollars plus to get it I don't think but it is a nice feature. I would also not spend my money at a dealer that tried to trick me with dishonest misinformation, I don't care if it came out of a "book" or not. Many of these type threads are started by JD dealers I think, could be wrong here. If so, so be it. Good luck. J

"I found the treadle thing really bizzare to drive with and not the least bit intuitive. I found that on a New Holland I felt cramped with my feet not out far enough in front of me. When I sat on and drove the Deere, it felt right for me."

How would be steping on a left pedal to go forward and stepping on a right pedal to go back more easy than stepping on a forward pedal to go forward and a rear pedal to go backwards /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif. I am afraid you are not going to win that one. I do like their brake arrangement better. Never said the Japanese built outsourced JDs were junk, they are an excellent Japanese Yanamar tractor /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif, I like the 'botas better and as you can see I don't give much ground. The last thing that happen today was that the dealer call me today and told me he could do a JD4010 for $12000 with loader what do you guys think? Went to test drive the Kubota 7510 again and the 4110 gear drive. Not bad but not what I want.

To each his own. I'm just not used to using my heel to drive, that's all. Both methods have their detractors and their supporters. I don't think either is wrong, just different. Just like English Setters and German Short Hair Pointers, their both great dogs, but they're different.

Andre, you want an excuse to buy the JD and have been fishing for it in this thread. I would not get a gear drive in this size tractor for the uses you and most guys need this type tractor for. I tell you what, go buy the JD, live long and prosper /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif. J

Actually I leaning towards the 7510 I made them an offer today.

In all sincerity, this orange vs green vs blue vs orange etc vs red is really much tadoo over nothing. Frankly, I am sure I would be happy with a green tractor. They all start and run and lift things in the bucket and mow grass and pull doodads. Beyond that it is just the one that makes you feel right. Sometimes the cheapest deal is not always the best deal if it is not the one that makes you happy in the end. That explains why there are people here with hardly more than 3 acres and own M class machines /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif etc. Which one makes you feel like a super hero when you sit in the seat? That is the one you want be it whatever color. I will be interested in what you finally choose and happy for you whatever it is /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif. J

I was going through the same thing this time last year. Exact same two models. Bought the 4110 with loader and 60" deck. If you're interested in a loader do get a demonstration of both, the way you attach them and unhook them. I do have some complaints with the deere. The pedal is hard to push with the trans. in high. I mow two hilly acres and it may be a little underpowered, wont go up the hill in high. The kubota is quieter and smoother running. The Deere makes my hands vibrate for an hour after mowing(like a weed whacker). I kinda wish I would have bought the 24 hp kubota.

Thats funny because when I test drove both I taught that the 4110 was more quiet. What do you think of the 4010 will it be under power?

I was not going to post on this thread again but I see your talking about the 4010. Make sure it has full size tires on it. Some of the ones I have seen did not. The front tire in the R4 type was very narrow.
Quietness, run them at PTO spped and also run them at say 1800/2000 which is typical FEL operating speed and compare, my 'botas are very quiet and smooth.
As to ease of loader removal the 'botas have an excellent system and it is super easy to remove/attach. I can take it off and reinstall it in under 5 minutes--on AND off-- if I had a mind to. Not only that, there are no reports of the loader becoming unattached on Kubotas as there has been on JDs. In fairness both systems seem well engineered and secure /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif.
Just in a few miles of my home there are several Ford 8Ns, several new Boomers, a whole bunch of Kubotas (3 in my 12 house neighborhood alone). I don't see any newer JD products. There is also a Kioti and several of the JD 970 (?) units. There are two large JD dealerships here so I am sure they are selling tractors, I guess none up this way for whatever reason /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif. I also see that the highway department has several new Kubotas and a number of construction companies here run some Kubota equipment and other types as well of course. J
