This may sound like a dumb question. But, here goes... Should this fitting leak? On the left side of my LA302 loader there is a leak where the fitting goes into the lift cylinder. It appears to have some kind of weep hole in the bottom of the fitting. It is not leaking from the threads and does not appear to be cracked. Whenever there is "down" pressure on the loader, fluid drips rapidly out of the hole in this fitting. It does not leak during lifting or in float only when applying down pressure. (as if to lift the front end up) My new tractor only has 25 hrs. on it and I believe it has leaked from the beginning. What do you guys think ? Will the dealer come to my house ?(12 miles) Thanks for the opinions.

That plug should come out (allen head). Stop by the dealer, get a free tube of teflon sealer, a free hat and anything else you can get away with. Set the loader down, shut off the machine, move the lever around to bleed off all the hyd. pressure, goop it up and you should be good to go.

Teflon sealer is a liquid form of "teflon tape". I like it a little better for most applications just so you don't have to worry about the tape getting in the system. The tape will work fine as long as you're careful.
