I don't know what the dealer situation is in your area but you might want to check out Mahindra and Kioti to see how the prices compare. Both are fine tractors, essentially the same quality as the Kubotas but without the extensive dealer network and #1 sales share.

I don't know where you are, but I just bought a tractor from Neil Messick in PA and I'm up in Mass. His prices on the b3030 clobbered the locals - it was less than your b7800 quote. The shipping cost was minor in comparison to what I saved.

SO yeah, I think its worth buying out of state.

Hi,

Presume from your call name that you are quite a bit North of the Border so depends on which border crossing is closest to you. I would kind of guess that the Soo is the closest.
Or you may do as well to buy in Manitoba and save the PST. Quebec if the other way. That will save you 8%.

In Canada, Mahindra is a no go re only 1 dealer and that is down near Buffalo.

Kioti, lots of dealers but many do not seem to have a great amount of knowledge about Kiotis but instead, just sell them.

Lots of choices in Michigan\Wisconsin. Just depends on how far you want to go to save a bunch.

Good luck on your search.

Tom

OK don't feel real bad yet...I just ordered a B7800 with W folding ROPS LA402FEL, 60 inch bucket, 60 inch Gearmore box scraper, Top and Tilt kit, Tooth Bar for front bucket, Bucket hooks installed, Total price 19,000..CA tax= $20,535 out the door delivered..Seems high I think but this is California..WTF I'm goin for it

Got 7 acres in the Santa Cruz Mountains rolling terrain and want a nice low profile work horse...

I use to have a Case 580 CK but it was wayyyyyyyy to big for things I need to do..Great for firewood though.

Had another bid and came to about the same for the B7800...oh yeah and R4 tires..we have real hard dirt here..Decomposed granite..Tell me more bad stuff about the B7800...Haven't seen to many yet...B3030 is pretty but it's a tractor and gonna get dirty..I'm goin for the guts...

I think the top and tilt kit was about 1800...must have for maintaining our roads and our trails throughout our land and entry...Gotta have the top and tilt...might even add the spool for the rippers..not sure yet...that's another 300 bucks...cheaper to do it now...

My wife says I'm actin like a little kid in a toy store..I'm only 58 and my Harley is all paid for..Time for a new toy..or should I say.."TOOL"

Wanna check out a real beauty ....John Deere 110 TLB cept it's 37 thousand buckos

I don't think mahindra & kioti are subject to the same quality control as kubota. Just MHO not looking to start a war, Scott.

Okay, I've narrowed it down to either the b7610 w/352 ldr at $14900 or the b7800 w/402 ldr for $16950. These prices seem awfully high considering someone was just quoted $16??? for a b3030 w/403 ldr. Is it possible to buy out of state and have it shipped. Shipping has to cost a lot.

I finally ended buying a new Kubota B7800 w/402 loader + 60" bucket, Rim Guard in the back tires, block heater and hooks welded onto L brackets on the bucket - $US16K - with 3 Kubota hats. The B7610 w/352 was $14K

Based on the TBN advice I also had a Markham Welding toothbar shipped to my dealer and installed into the bucket. That was US$300 but based on a few hours use of skidding out trees and knocking over/out old stumps that $ was well spent. I picked up the tractor Friday afternoon and had it stuck in the my back forest while trying to skid out a ready-to-burn maple tree the size of a telephone pole. I used the bucket to push myself out. I really need to learn all the in and outs of pulling, pushing and lifting with this tractor because it's apparent to me that safety first is required.

I had hoped to buy a slightly used B7610/7800 or Kioti but the slim pickings and nominal savings over buying new convinced me to buy new. After yesterday's bush work I am very happy that I didn't buy the more easily garaged B7610 as the extra stability, ground clearance, and I suppose hp, came in handy. Out to work...lots' of trees and rocks to move around.

I am waiting on my B7610 w/352fel & 60" mmm to arrive. I paid $15,350 + NC tax. i had a $100 cheaper offer, but spent eh extra $100 and went local. Hopefullt that $100 extra will play to my favor in the future implement purchases from them.

Congrats on your B7800..Northland.
