I just went out and checked the right side and there is a plug there too. I'll pull it and see how much I get out of there. From the looks of things, I doubt I'll get more than a quart out if it. But, that's 1 of 6 still in there. . . )</font>

Today I went and pulled the axle plug on the right side. Got at least another quart of oil out of this side.

Kubota B7610 owners take note: The manual only calls for draining the left side axle plug, clearly both sides need draining.

v8dave,

I performed the 50 hour service on my B7610 maybe 5 - 6 weeks ago. There are 4 drain plugs for the hydraulic fluid. 1 towards the front of the tractor, 1 at about the mid point of the tractor and 2 at the rear of the tractor. As per the service tech. at my dealer, I raised the front of the tractor about 6" to facilitate better drainage at the front plug. I was only able to get about 3.5 gallons of old oil out. I returned back to the tractor only the amount that I took out. (I didn't want to over fill) Worked perfectly. 'Cept I still don't understand why I couldn't get the full 4.4 gallons drained.

Duber

Thanks, I didn't get the 4th, center, plug. But I did manage to get 3 gallons out. So, it looks like tilting the tractor and using the 4th plug will get another 1/2 gallon . . . next time.

So much for following the manual--looks like they missed stating a few steps.

I think they are quoting the capacity of a completely new tractor. We aren't draining the power steering system, the hydrostatic transmission pump and motor, nor the accessory hydraulic pump. So, that's probably where the "missing" hydraulic fluid is.

Thanks,
Dave
