I wanted to get a comparison price for a B7610 with either the 302 or 352 loader in the New York, Michigan, Ontario area.

Prices in Canada seem to be about $1,500 - $2,000 higher for the same model, even when our 15% tax and exchange are factored in.

Thanks,

Jason

Hi,

Probably the standard for Michigan is here at Aldermans and theword is take 10%off the list.
http://www.aldermans.com/Kubota/kubota_Bpricing.html

Ontario a little pricey. Last year looked at a 7800 and best I could do was $22k and change with loader and bush hog.
Then add the 15% tax.

Couple of used 790 Deere's with loaders for around 15K asking up in Elmira along with a couple of the 4XXX series.

Have a great one.

dholly, I must have missed your post - that was the exact info I was looking for.

Unfortunately it makes my dealer look even worse. As per your post you got ...B7610 new in crate, 352 FEL w/ grill guard, RCK 60" MMM, R4s, weight box, block heater, arm rests, back light, 50 hr filters/fluids, pickup & dlv for 3 yr warranty period and the hat... $15,600 no tax.

One dealer is offering the B7610 with the 352 loader and R4s ... for 19900 Cdn (or $17300 US). No mower, standard dynamo, no 50 hr service, etc. And I get to pay 15% tax on the whole unit!!!

My question now is what will the dealer do when I start showing him the posts on what I can get the same machine for across the border. My guess is absolutely nothing - that is the attitude of many of the dealers up here. If you are not buying "real" tractors and combines they don't really care for your business.

The $2000 plus is probably worth buying in the US and not getting warranty service in Canada as I know the dealers here will refuse to work on tractors that they didn't sell. They will accept the tractor at the yard but it will sit there until every other job is completely finished.

Don't recall if I mentioned folding ROPS, bucket hooks and HD alternator in that thread. BTW, it was not the lowest price, I did pay a bit more for the local dealer support. Also, not my dealer, but have you tried here?

Hi,

Or here http://www.carverequipment.com/cool_season_new.htm

If you don't mind the ride but could save a bunch on the product which also saves tax at the border.

Depending on if you are open to other brands, the Massey 2310 ( TLB ) can be had in S\W Ontario for $19,900 ( CDN ) without even trying to talk about price.

Good luck on your search.

I don't really have a good Massey dealer nearby - I do want someone close in case the "fit hits the shan". There are 2 Kubotas dealers nearby for parts/service.

I don't mind paying a little extra but not that much extra. For the price difference I will be able to sell my utility trailer and upgrade to a tandem axle to haul my tractor around.

I was trying to avoid the time committment of going South, buying and dragging the tractor back. My dad's retired and has been looking for an excuse for a road trip - guess I'll give him a shout and see what New York State has to offer.

Thanks all,

Jason

Not sure what it is worth but.
Kubota B7610 Hydrostatic drive, folding ROPS
Kubota LA352 loader
Kubota RCK60 MMM
Woods 48" box blade with rippers (think this was close to $500 alone)
$15150.00 in WV (6.5 hours from Detroit)

I got a price quote of $15,825 for a B7610 HSD w/grill guard, 60" deck and FEL. How's this compare?

I was all set to get a BX2350 equipped the same way, and the dealer talked me out of it because of the 2 different catagory 1 hitches between the BX and the B series. He said you will have a hard time finding implements to rent that fit the BX.

Thanks in advance.

Local dealer offered me the 7510 with 302 FEL + scraper (delivered) for $13,500 and the 7610 for $14,500.

Yep, just to confirm that we Canadians get $crewed all the time.

Best quote was $16,600 (US) for a B7610, 352 loader, HD alternator, block heater, loaded R4s and bucket hooks, etc. I ended up getting everything but substituted the 302 loader beacuse that's what the tractor had on it at the time - it reduced the cost a little.

Unfortuantely it is not worth the time and effort to try to import a tractor into Canada - even though I am getting an American made, NAFTA approved product.

I would have had to add the cost of 2 days labour (1 day to negotiate/buy and a different day to go pick up the tractor) plus the hassle of Canadian government employees (duty office) to the cost of the tractor. No warranty. No financing.

It was worth the extra $2500+ to just get the tractor in Canada - ahhh the cost of social healthcare. At least my dealer is a nice, honest guy.

Thanks all for the help,

Jason

Right now I only have 1.5 acres but I couldn't justify a BX for that reason. I decided that if I was going to step up from a riding mower-type tractor then I should "do it right".

It would be great if dealers up here had implements to rent. Canadians are supposed to be friendly and courteous but no dealer trusts us enough to rent out tillers, etc.

I am the proud new owner of a B7610HSD with 352 loader, grill guard, 60" mower deck, and ballast box. It got delivered today!
Now I have a lot of reading to do (owners manuals).

I have 3 acres of mostly dirt (clay) that I need to get into shape after building a new home.
