After driving both the B7800 and the L2800, I have decided I prefer the L series over the B based on overall comfort/feel. I hadn't really considered the 3400 but when I started calculating the overall cost it seems the 3400 is the better deal. Using the quoted price from my dealer as base price I came up with price per 1 unit of hp as well as % of HP gain on the 3400. These calculations are of course figured on local dealer pricing so will vary with geo-area.

Prices include FEL/HST/4wd:

L3400 (34hp) = $17,400 - $511 per 1hp - 15% increase in power for 6% increase in price when compared to L2800.
B7800 (30hp) = $15,900 - $530 per 1hp
L2800 (29hp) = $16,400 - $565 per 1hp

It seems the L2800 is most expensive of the 3 given the rated HP and the L3400 is the cheapest. What am I missing?

Cheers,

Looks like a good deal and the extra horsepower will never be a problem. I always like things a bit over rated for my needs.

Well there is fuel burn per hr.
But as far as price per hp then it looks like your gettin an L3400.
