B7800 with MMM....thoughts?

cmhyland: What is dicey about taking the turfs in the woods? Lack of traction and getting hung up? With a lot of woods, some grass and snow, I'm trying to figure out where to make my tradeoff. Thanks

I have the RCK72-27b MMM.
It has 4 caster wheels. One on each corner. I'm able to remove it from tractor without removing front bracket or using a plank under the bucket. Just roll the bucket forward to raise front tires off ground about 10". In my opinion, its one of the best reasons to upgrade to the 72" MMM instead of the 60".

Punctures! Turfs are soft and punture easily...

I've sliced a front tire on a old peice of metal under some leaves...

I have 4 acres of lawn and fields and 4 acres woods.
And you guys in the south and west no laughing.... Land is 100K and acre up here...

For all around work I like the turfs. If I had a project to do
in the woods I'd consider a second set of rims
and tires ( Commercials)

Ed,
Some people readjust the mower guage wheels
so they are sideways to roll the deck out sideways.

I don't I roll it out under the front wheels.

Thanks Chris. Yeah I can see things that would make my tires go pop out here too. Something to think about in the purchase decision.

Been a while since I've been on your side of CT. I can imagine though that you guys are fast becoming a suburb of Boston. A little quieter out here (for now at least)

We are as you say becoming a suburb of Boston... I commuted there for years... Working on a long ( too long) term consuting project in Windsor Ct...

They have built 275 houses in town in the last year..
