B7800 won't crank

If I get out of the seat and try to move the tractor by pushing the HST pedal the engine quits. If the pedal is in the mid position it will start back up again.

I jumped the safety switch under my seat.....

I thought about jumpering the safety switches, but, I have two young grandsons who can't wait to run my machines, and my wife runs them as well.
I'll have to learn to deal with the occasional problem

My B7800 is demonstrating similar issues as discussed here. I get the fuel shut-off solenoid clicking and the glow plug light will light BUT I get no battery light. I've had various no-start situations caused by safety switches but I don't recall a case where the battery light didn't come on when turning the key to start. I've put on about 1,100 hours on this tractor and for the life of me I cannot recall whether the battery light comes on if one of the safety switches is open.

Haven't done much in the way of troubleshooting as I'm in the middle of a big fencing project (only using my Kioti right now). I was going to lend my B7800 to a neighbor only to discover that it wouldn't start. Battery had been a bit problematic (it was six years old) and wasn't taking a charge so I got a new battery, but, a bit to my surprise, that didn't affect this no-start situation.

Tractor had sat for perhaps two weeks. Last time used was brush hogging w/o any issues.
