B8200 stolen stripped, need hood & fenders.

PC - Where did this happen? Maybe someone will hear of parts for sale. Put an add on CL asking to buy a hood to see if the thief would try to sell it.

criminal rights are so strong they cannot reveal reveal to me who they are. Tell me my right is to search police & court public records. I am sure there have been retribution situations that the Police get sued by the offenders because the offended threaten them or do take law into their own hands.

Not sure where you live, but in New York state the arrests, charges and description of the (alleged) crime are printed in the paper all the time.
The police are also likely to name the suspects to you to see if you know them from anyplace.

Don't sound right. How can they be charged if you aren't involved?

I would contact the law enforcement agency and request a copy of the report. The names of everyone involved should be on the report. Then I would contact your District Attorneys Office and request restitution to be court ordered upon conviction. Then I would contact the victim/witness cordinator and request to be notified of all court dates involved and again request restitution. You have right to know who did this to assist in protecting you in the future. Good Luck. Jeff

That's EXACTLY why I have dogs, a side-by-side 12 gage, and carry a 45!

That sheet metal is real hard to come by. I have a B9200 that I recently
restored. I was watching ebay for some fresh sheet metal and was lucky enough to find a NOS hood for a B8200 for $400. I saw a pair of fenders
(used) for $500. I repaired my own fenders.

It took me a year to find that hood. And then it was for a smaller tractor.
So I made a cup (beer) holder out of the fuel filler hole. You'll just have to
watch ebay, and / or call around to tractor salvage yards.

I agree with the others. Request a copy of the arrest report. If it goes to court you will be called as a witness and you certainly have a right to the report if you were going to make an insurance claim. Someone didn't give you good information.

I looked for a few things when I had my B8200. Not much of a used parts market, except for motors. It seems the same motor was popular in 25-30' sailboats, and some generators.

My general expierience is that by the time someone parts out one of these tractors, it is pretty beat... How are you at body work?

Some above mentioned ebay. Otherwise, Craigslist or some web searching
