Congrats. My wife's niece just had twins. She already has a 4 year old and 2 year old.

Your real fear should be proper grandparent control. If there aren't many children in your immediate families, the grands are just sittin' there like vultures. :laughing: You also have to be careful about equal time and all that stuff too.

Congrats on the baby! It's an exciting time. My wife and I had a baby boy last October, I was a couple months short of 32. We already have a 3 year old girl and thought we knew everything, wrong! Huge difference between the two, so everyday is something new! Enjoy the whole process, it's a real life changer!

You're not kidding about the grandparents. Luckily the equal time thing won't be too hard as my wife's parents live about six hours away.

Thanks! You're right if it is a girl she will still get tractors, trucks, and toy guns to play with. We'll find out if she takes after me or her mom, lol.

Don't worry about the "looks department" , rather hope she gets the brains from "the smarter of you two":laughing: She gets the "looks and the brains" watch out world!!

I would have to second what was said about the pacifier, use it for the intended purpose, but not as a "fix-all". Been there done that!! Danm things are crack cocaine to a baby:laughing:

One more thing, if people want to get you something, ask for diapers. In fact start hording them now if you find sales, you'll feel like it's a second mortgage when you start buying them full-time

Haven't looked at diapers yet and didn't realize they were that expensive. What a terrible thing to spend a lot of money on, lol.

They are crazy out of sight, of course you could do what my generation did, washables!! 2 things that turn my stomach though, baby pooh, vomit, so disposables are like "set it and forget it":laughing:

We've been getting diapers from Amazon on auto-delivery. Really works out well.

And look into getting a diaper genie for disposal. Also have refills for that on auto delivery. Basically, anything at makes the process easier is money well spent.
