Hi I would like input as to cost for adding a model KB2475 backhoe to my new DS3510 tractor, dealer I bought from quoted $8599,I would really like input on this quote seems a little high to me, I was thinking should be no more than $6000
Thanks

$1000 dollars a foot of digging depth is the standard for new back hoes. So $8600 is too high and $6,000 is too low for a 7.5 foot BH. You can find used Hoes for a lot less, but they are usually 3 pt hitch, not under mounts.

That's way too much. Get a quote somewhere else. I only payed 7700 for my 2485

Also may want to look at the WOODS models - I have not used one but I hear a LOT of good things about them and they make a lot of mounts for different machines.

The dealer where I bought tractor said I would need a subframe and rear remotes. Could this be reason for price? I am wanting and needing a way to dig. I have even been considering a towable digger from Harbor Freight, and I have located a used backhoe attachment that a guy was going to put on his compact tractor, but how do I know what would fit mine and can any tractor dealer install a backhoe on my tractor or can I buy a subframe and rear remotes and have local machine shop install them. I know these are dumb questions, but I am new to installing these attachments. I just bought the Kioti tractor new this year,it came with loader and so far the tractor has met my needs. Thanks in advance for taking the time to answer. Sbrown

Well, if you have no remotes you will need one. I'm a little surprised you didn't get one when you bought the tractor. That should be about $700. The backhoe with the frame and whatnot really shouldn't be more than $7000 for the 2475 unless the prices have gone way up since I bought my 2485.

View attachment 383112I have a 2008 CK35 HST I got new along with a 7ft Woods backhoe with thumb. The Woods has been great, only one problem in the first weeks after I got it and the dealer/Woods looked after it promptly. I would buy another Woods. :):)

If you have any mechanical ability, you can install the remote and bh yourself. I had installed the rear remotes on my CK30hst. A single remote, that's all you'll need, is a pretty straight forward install and shouldn't be over $400. My bh came in it's freight shipping crate and I took it home that way. 90% of it is pre-assembled. Just connect the dipper to the boom, add the bucket, install the front and rear mounts to the tractor, attach the sub-frame to the bh, and then the sub-frame slides into the tractor mounts. Take a look at one on the lot that's already mounted and you'll see it's pretty straight forward. As far as price, a little under $1000 per foot is very close these days. The KB2475 will out dig an HF towable easily.

Make sure your specific model tractor matches up with the KB-2475 before buying it. I am not familiar with your model, but if you check for applicable hoes on Kioti's web site it will tell you for sure.
Kioti stopped equipping their newer tractor models with remotes, similar to other brands, probably to be more competitive on price point, so now they are optional, which is good for those who don't need one.
The sub-frame mounted KB-2475, like my KB-2485, are both excellent hoes and can do substantial work.
Forget about towables, IMHO.
You should be able to assemble a factory crated Kioti hoe with some help and have a local capable hydraulic shop or qualified mechanic install the rear remote set, no problem, done!

$8600 is too high, $6000 is too low. Hmm, I think I heard that in a previous post (probably from Goldilocks).

I paid $7500 installed, including the remote. BUT, that was at the time of tractor purchase.
