A tip o the hat to my TBN friends. After a lengthy and spooky leave of absence ... well .. here's what's kept me from tractorbynetting ....

1. Since 2002, lived through 3 merger aquisitions ... just dumb luck ... MA suck no matter what the outcome ...\

2. Decided that the pace of NYC and what was once a rural home had enough of my blood sweat and tears ... was there for over 20 years, last 5 up in the Hudson Valley. Sold my 1790 homestead and headed to ....

MAINE!

3. Myocardial Infarction in September (age 48). Years of stress, cigarettes, and 4 hour daily commutes finally had a lil something to say to my system ...

4. Moved into a wonderful historic (1820) riverfront home (sheepscot) in mid-coast Maine. Brought the horses, the goats, the greyhounds and the bloody cat ...

5. Finally found the B7800 I'd wanted for the last umpteen years. Of course, 4 hurricanes and a tropical storm have kept it idle most of the time ... but that's another store altogether.

It's nice to be back ... for those of you I've offended, I hope you give me another chance to do it again! LOLOL

Best to all of you and yours ....

Welcome back Doug! Good to see your signature greyhound again. Sounds like a difficult stretch, hope life treats you better now. We vacationed in Maine this summer, you should do just fine up there. Beautiful country. Have some lobster for me /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks Rob ... I'll stash away 3 or 4 2 pounders for ya. This is the busy time for the lobstermen right about now too.

Thanks again for the welcome back.

Doug, welcome to Maine. I've been through similar experiences with the computer industry around Boston, and finally pulled the plug and moved from southern N.H. to southern Maine. They can call it 'dropping out' if they want, but there is a lot to be said for letting the world go by...elsewhere. It's just fine with me. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Again, Welcome!

Would like to know how much you paid for the cat?

When we bought our farm, Yup we escaped ad created a second life as well, the cat came with and we didn't pay extra /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I was stationed in Kittery, Maine back in 1973 and 1974. Beautiful country up there. The lobster boats heading out every morning. Neat old Bridge between Porsmouth NH and Kittery too!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
