I would like some input from you guy's on the B O issues regarding implements, attachments, parts etc for the following brands.. JD, NH, MF, KUBOTA, KIOTI in the 20 to 40 horsepower range.. Is the BO issues frequent or you have never encountered it with your particular brand . I guest I'm curious to see if this existed for all brands or if some brands are better organize towards supply, and demand than others. I would also like to had the dealers in my case would not be the problem...cag

B.O.'s can and do happen with everything. Some may be more prone than others for whatever reason. Not much anybody can do accept wait 'til it arrives and possibly be compensated for the delay. Gerard

I'd think you may encounter more issues of backorders, or limited availability, on the actual machines, as the compact tractor industry has seen very rapid growth, and many of the manufacturers are working feverishly to keep up with demand. However, even in an instance of a dealer not seeing a particular model for many months, as soon as a customer comes in and puts down a deposit, the dealer is able to order a retail unit, and get one in quickly. (Stock units go onto the lot, and retail units go directly to a customer, so retail unit orders take precedence.)

Most of the aftermarket implement manufacturers seem to be doing a good job of keeping up, so in general, I'd say pick the model and brand of tractor from a dealer you like, and get it. A good dealer will get you the machine you want, the implements you want, or the parts you need, in fairly short order.

I was just at my JD dealer today and this very issue came up. He said JD was creating 2 regional parts warehouses to better serve the northeast - 1 in PA and the other, he thought, in MA. He's complained loud and often in the past about parts issues. He said getting parts for Frontier and other implements not made by - but sold by - JD are very problematic and even the new warehouses won't address these.

I ran into something like that with a Kubota filter recently that was a dealer issue. One dealer never stocks the filter. they said I could order it but the warehouse was closed for inventory. Another dealer had ten of the filters in stock but the parts person tried to sell me the wrong filter.

Bandit last year MF ran out of GC2310 I agree this BO or limited availability is also existing with tractor's....2Nstonge I would have though the BO issue at JD would have been almost none existing.... Darren the dealer you described I definitely don't want to buy a tractor from /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif...cag
