Not sure what you want.
A camera to the rear that shows image on a screen in front of you while driving/facing forward?

Or just a camera attached to the tractor and facing to the rear to capture video or pics?

Two different things.

4shorts has the one you want...... do a search to find the thread on his. I think it was about 3 beans.

Don't really need one on the tractor but on the skid steer would be useful.

I like this system a lot, it's completely portable for sure so it can be moved between vehicles very easily. This one is color, but imho it's a bit pricy at $259 for the package deal.

I mounted one on my loader so I could see my pallet forks and Global quick change at night. It worked so well I picked up two more for the rear so hopefully I can do some rear snowblowing facing forward.

Yep....and mounted to your head so you can face forward, backward or to either side while going forward backward or sideways....while upside down, downside up or inside out.;)

(actually, I am considering one for my stump grinder....cause I cant see the cutting action well enough from the tractor seat ;) ) Saw one model at Mart for $50. Yikes

That's the plan, hopefully.

latest progressive farmer has an article about farmers using cameras on combines and everything else where you can't see. I bought one for my truck to see to connect trailor, only haven't installed it yet. It's wireless unit, but need power hookup for the camera. I was thinking about trying it on the tractor for the pallet forks, I have a hard time seeing them.

I first bought a CABCAM package from my JD dealer; one IR camera, 7" three input nonsplit screen monitor, cables and mounts for about between 4 and 5 bills. As an afterthought I called a security guy who sold me some stuff for my property awhile back and sure enough he was now doing police and emergency vehicle camera installs. Returned the CABCAM and bought a 7" quadsplit monitor, three diecast aluminum IR cameras(commercial stuff), mounts and all the cables for about 1 bill more I believe. It's been awhile but I think the monitor is a Toshiba and at the time I purchased there seemed to be two common 7" monitors; quadsplit four input, and nonsplit three input being very similar from all sources.

Regards,

Tom

I've had my CabCam system installed for two seasons now and think it's a great system. I liked it so much I installed one in my truck as well. It can handle up to three cameras and looks great with the supplied 7" LCD color monitor that switches over to black and white in complete darkness with the inferred system. The camera has a built in microphone and it's just one of the safest components I've added to the tractor. I also like the fact that it's very well built and is an industrial camera built for equipment.

While I'm snow clearing I can see if someone is getting to close to me or me getting to close to them. Whats safety worth? It's worth plenty to me.

I tried a number of wireless cameras and they would fade in and out. I couldn't use my bluetooth phone system with the wireless cameras because the bluetooth would cause the wireless camera to kick out and not work at all.

Since my initial first thread on the camera I added a few gauges to the side of the camera but the camera was a great investment for my needs. I'm in no way affiliated with CabCam. I'm just a happy customer.:D
