Some of today's 'hunters' are freightening.
A few years ago I was at a club range with a few friends. About 1 pm three men arrived, a grandfather, his son and grandson (the grandson was about 20). They put a huge 5 foot by 6 foot piece of cardboard at 100 yards and proceeded to fire their rifles at the cardboard. After each shot the shooter made an adjustment to the rifle scope.
After 25 minutes the grandfather loudly announced that the rifles were sighted and it was time to go deer hunting.
At no time did any of them hit the cardboard! Not one of them could hit a 5 foot by 6 foot target at 100 yards with scoped rifles, yet they all felt qualified to go hunting. Clearly the local deer had nothing to fear from these three. I can't say the same about people in homes near their hunting site.
